  • Sole technical lead designing and building a grant-backed recruitment platform for a staffing agency — owning architecture, the data model and the candidate–job matching layer from the ground up.
  • Alongside client work, sharpening a move into detection engineering — Sigma detections, SIEM and security data at scale.

Data Engineer · ANZ (Australia & New Zealand Banking Group)

  • Engineered end-to-end data assets for the Home Loans division using Trino SQL, Starburst, Python and DBT, delivering loan-performance insight to analysts and stakeholders.
  • Built and monitored production pipelines on Apache Airflow for reliability, scalability and on-time delivery of consumable data.
  • Migrated legacy Python jobs from Cloudera Data Science Workbench (CDSW) to Airflow, standardising the execution environment.
  • Tuned DAGs and SQL for performance and SLA adherence on downstream reporting.

  • Migrated data assets from a legacy Teradata platform to Jungle2 — an in-house lake on S3, Starburst Enterprise and DBT.

Data-to-Video Encoding

A converter that turns arbitrary files into video and back. Added Reed–Solomon error correction and hardened the pixel mapping to survive YouTube's lossy re-compression, so data round-trips through the platform intact — an experiment in unconventional cloud storage.

Flask C2 Server

A command-and-control server with remote command execution, keylogging and file exfiltration — built to understand offensive tooling from the inside. Red informs blue: the goal is to know exactly what a C2 looks like on the wire so I can detect it.
